Advisor Tools is built and maintained by Zechariah Montera, a practicing financial advisor. It started the way most useful software starts: with one person doing the actual work and getting tired of the patchwork — a planning question in one tab, a spreadsheet in another, a calculator from 2011 in a third, and nothing that produced something a client could actually read.
So he built the tool he needed that week. Then the one he needed the week after. Today the platform covers 132 planning tools across 9 domains — multi-year tax projection, retirement income design, estate and charitable strategy, insurance analysis, a full portfolio analytics lab on live market data, and the client-ready outputs that turn analysis into deliverables.
It is not a startup pivot or a product-team thesis about what advisors might want. It is the workspace one advisor uses in his own practice, shared with the advisors and teams who want to work the same way.
Every tool exists because a real client meeting, review, or planning question needed it. Nothing here started as a product spec.
Core planning tools run on rule-based logic and real market data. Numbers are reproducible and explainable — the platform supports advisor judgment instead of replacing it.
Calculations are designed to run without storing sensitive client data. Honest empty states beat fabricated placeholders everywhere in the app.
Tax, retirement income, estate, insurance, portfolio analytics, and market context in one place — with print-ready, compliance-aware framing built in from the start.
Access is invite-based for licensed financial professionals and planning-led teams. Request access and you’ll hear back directly.
